About Jane Mwangi
Jane Mwangi Diaspora Interlink
About us
At Diaspora Interlink we believe in mutually beneficial linkages between the diaspora and their country of origin.
We therefore specialize in twofold functions:
a) We link the Diaspora to available opportunities at home.
b) We work with government agencies, organizations, banks, institutions, counties and individuals to implement comprehensive strategies for them to gainfully connect with their Diasporas.
Why we do what we do
Many members of the diaspora are interested in seizing available opportunities in their home countries for personal and communal benefits but do not have adequate information about available opportunities and appropriate facilitation and linkages to exploit those opportunities. On the other hand, there is a growing interest among leaders and practitioners in the public, private non-profit and private for profit sectors who seek to engage the diaspora and are seeking for comprehensive strategies of engaging the diaspora more effectively. This is due to the realization that the diaspora have the potential to contribute to the economic, social and political development of their home countries through financial flows, investments and trade, as well as by bringing back home new skills and knowledge, ideas, cultures, attitudes and social and capital flows, and political identities and practices, among other benefits. Diaspora Interlink seeks to link the Diaspora to available opportunities at home as well as connect government agencies, organizations, banks, institutions, counties and individuals to their Diasporas.
Vision
To leverage diaspora potential to achieve a win-win situation for the diaspora and their home country.
Mission - Our mission is to link the diaspora to opportunities in their countries of origin as well as devise viable strategies for government agencies, organizations, institutions, counties and individuals to engage their Diasporas.
