Action for Community Empowerment and Transformation 1. Aims of Operation ACTION FOR COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT & TRANSFORMATION (ACET) is formed on the overall aim of ensuring that it effectively and meaningfully contributes to the improvement and the welfare of the local vulnerable communities in Chitungwiza.It also endeavors to develop a strong and self-supporting community based strategy that is aimed at overcoming the burdens and challenges of poverty, illiteracy, disease in order to increase control over their own development at grassroot level 2. Objectives of the Organization 2.1 To improve the Social and Economic development status of the poor especially women and children through the promotion and implementation of the community based health and empowering them through projects and clubs 2.2 To strengthen the structures and systems of ACET so that it facilitates local Development at all levels, and to effectively and sustainably implement projects that will make significant contribution to Chitungwiza Community by boosting youth initiatives like sports,drama,theatre groups and their clubs 3.3 To promote networking with Local Organizations working with AIDS orphans and vulnerable children, early children development and Youth education, and other poverty alleviation strategies.
