Brian Mushana Kwesiga Brian Mushana Kwesiga is a 2024-2025 Africa Policy Accelerator fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, a Washington, DC based think tank, and studying for a Masters in Global Business Administration at Tufts University’s Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy, participating in a weeklong immersion program in Athens, Greece themed, ‘Resilience and Innovation in the Face of Crisis.’ He holds a M.S. Systems Engineering, B.S. Electrical Engineering, and a B.A. International Studies – Africa & Middle East Specialization from Southern Methodist University, studying abroad for six months at the Universidade Metodista de Piracicaba, São Paolo, Brazil in a pioneering program to develop leadership in international engineering education with the theme, ‘Cross-Cultural Engineering: Manufacturing for Global Security.’ He has over 15 years of professional engineering experience in the Aerospace & Defense industry with three Fortune 100 powerhouses across three different states, spanning diverse technical roles in software development, flight testing, integration & testing, rising to the level of deputy program manager. Kwesiga was born in Rujumbura County, Rukungiri District, Southwestern Uganda into a family of career civil servants, before moving to the U.S. after his O’level education at the age of 15 years. He earned an associate degree from the Brookhaven Campus of what is now Dallas College which bestowed upon him its 2020 Distinguished Alumni Award. He is a former President and CEO of the Ugandan North American Association and a Lifetime Member of the National Society of Black Engineers, of which he is a former Vice Chair of its International Committee.
