Brian Mushana Kwesiga Serving as the President and CEO of the Ugandan North American Association from 2013 to 2015, Mr. Brian M. Kwesiga presided over an era of unprecedented progress as UNAA celebrated the silver jubilee of its founding in 2013 and of its registration in 2015. Presiding over the youngest and most diverse administration in UNAA's history, he oversaw the successful transition of leadership from UNAA's founding generation, to a new generation of leaders. UNAA's progress included the restoration of fiscal discipline as evidenced by three consecutive conventions with balanced budgets and more than $135,000 raised in Sponsorship for New Orleans 2015 - the most sponsorship ever secured for a single convention year in UNAA history representing an increase of more than 315% in corporate sponsorship to the organization over the previous year. The Chapter Development Program (CDP) was created offering $50,000 to UNAA chapters across North America, the Professional Interest Networks (PINs) program for professionals to network and the Emerging Leaders Scholarship Program to groom a new generation of leaders was instituted. Association membership expanded by more than threefold, and plans were made to secure a permanent home for the Association. Under his leadership, UNAA leaders under the auspices of the Community Outreach Initiative (COI) visited more UNAA Communities than any other UNAA administration in history. Annual UNAA Financial Reports & Statements were released months ahead of schedule and released to the public on UNAA's website for the first time ever in the organization's history. Previously, Mr. Kwesiga served as the Chairman of the 25th Annual UNAA Convention and Trade Expo in Dallas, Texas in 2013 and as the Deputy Speaker of the UNAA Council while representing the Southwest Region II from 2011 to 2013. Beyond UNAA, Mr. Kwesiga has served in various leadership capacities and on the boards of the Ugandan American Association of Greater Dallas Fort Worth (UAA-DFW), the Africa Leadership Council of DFW, the DFW International Community Alliance, the East Africa Chamber of Commerce (EACC), the East Africa Diaspora Business Council (EADBC) and the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE). A native of Kigezi, Uganda, he earned a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering and B.A. degree in International Studies from Southern Methodist University, Dallas, Texas. He lives in the Washington, D.C Area with his fiancée, Daphine, where he is employed as a Flight Test Engineer.
