VOSAW Heathcare System I am a social activist, Healthcare spercialist in the field of elderly and reseacher into global ageing innovation and care. My motivation and strong ambition towards the health sector in Ghana started some years ago when my father in Ghana was sick. I went immediately to Ghana and discovered that he would need an operation. The hospitals were so under stocked (or under developed) that blood which was needed to be brought from another hospital had to be transported by my younger sister. I was astounded at how the health system operated in Ghana. Thinking of my father and the under developed health care situation in Ghana, I am eager to offer my health care services in Ghana. I want to establish a health care institution for the elderly in Ghana. I have recognized the links to my commitment, and I am convinced that with my Western knowledge and my years of working experience, I can improve the lives and welfare of elderly people in Ghana During the projects I carried out in the past, I experienced that many elderly living in Accra show already symptoms of diseases that can have serious consequences if they are not receive the treatment and medicine they need. This can have serious consequences on their social living, health situation and age expectations. Most of the elderly are confined to their homes without help. There is not enough awareness, prevention, and treatment on elderly diseases as diabetic and Alzheimer; not inside or outside the hospital and health care institutions. There is also not enough knowledge of humane care and palliative care for the elderly . Products & Services Health Social and wellfare care institution offers health care services with a strong focus on eldery and vunerable people; (1) Training of geriatric nurses package shall mean the social service of recruiting and development of skill in the profession of geriatricians and carergivers for the terminally ill persons. (2) Elderly and terminally ill care services shall mean the service of assigning trained geriatricians to homes of the elderly (3) offering healthcare services; blood collection to test for disesase that are common dor elderyt people (diabetici, cholestrol, …)
