Talei Baseresere Bula Vinaka Unit Trust of Fiji "UTOF” is a managed investment scheme similar to a managed fund, has been in existence for the past 42 years, which manages an investment portfolio in excess of $243 million with a more than 20,000 investors. UTOF provide tax-free dividends to resident/non-resident investors. UTOF has two funds that is tailor made based on the Unit Holder's risk/return appetite. There are two funds, which you can choose from to invest with: 1. Income& Growth Fund, investors under this Fund are entitled for 6 monthly dividends and potential for Capital growth. This fund is for long terms investors (above 3 years). The total return in 2018 was 28.92% and 13.88% in 2019. There are two plans under this fund, namely, Fijian Investment Plan (minimum 50 units @ $2.45 = $122.50), Global Investment Plan (Overseas Investors) minimum deposit is 200 units @ $2.45 = $490.00). The unit price for this Fund changes every bimonthly. 2.Income Fund, this fund is dedicated to investors opting for dividend only, that means no appreciation in your principal amount with unit price fixed at $1.00 per unit. This fund has 3 plans, namely Children Investment Plan (Designed for Children below 18 years, minimum deposit is 10 units @ $1.00 = $10.00), Income Plus Plan (Designed for 18 years and above, minimum deposit is 50 units @ $1.00 = $50.00) and Farmers Investment Plan (designed for farmers). Please note that there is no restrictions to withdrawing the funds; however, it is advisable to leave the funds in your investment account for at least 1-3 years(under Income Fund) 3-5 years(under Income & Growth Fund).
