Caribbean Council for Science and Technology Caribbean Council for Science and Technology The Caribbean Council for Science and Technology (CCST) is an inter-governmental organization whose aim is to promote co-operation in science and technology with the long-term goal of furthering the social and economic development of its member countries. CCST was established in 1980 in Kingston, Jamaica, where its statutes were adopted and signed by member governments of the Caribbean Development and Cooperation Committee (CDCC), a permanent subsidiary body of the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (UNECLAC), with the assistance of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
