UNION OF JAMAICAN ALUMNI ASSOCIATIONS USA INC. UNION OF JAMAICAN ALUMNI ASSOCIATIONS USA INC. Established in 1990, the Union of Jamaican Alumni Associations (USA), Inc./UJAA was constituted to bring together the various alumni organizations operating in the New York tri-state region. Its primary objectives are to: coordinate the activities and fund raisers of the member associations; promote academic excellence at all levels of schools in Jamaica with the emphasis on pre-secondary institutions - the basic, primary and all-age schools; to act as a liaison between the educational authorities in Jamaica and the US; to identify problems unique to immigrant Jamaican children in the US and to address these issues; and to partner with the Consulate General of Jamaica and other community organizations in sponsoring informational and education events.
