Leadership Africa USA Leadership Africa USA Leadership Africa USA was established with the goal of assisting African youth in conflict-affected countries to become the next generation of African leaders. Our leadership training and related program activities target the middle school students who will lead Africa into an era of sustained peace, growth and development. Our mandate is simple: to partner with African organizations and government institutions in developing and implementing youth leadership programs that emphasize sustainable peace and development. Our goal is to empower African youth, especially girls, to emerge as Africa’s leaders of change and transformation. History Leadership Africa USA has a proven track record with successful leadership development programs Leadership Africa USA was officially incorporated as a non-profit, tax-exempt 501(c) (3) non-governmental organization in 2006 to tackle the broad consequences of alienation among African youth. Since 1992, Leadership Africa USA’s organizers have been working with local partners in Africa to re-establish a culture of learning and promote access to quality education for a generation of African students. While these education initiatives are ongoing, Leadership Africa USA’s primary focus is to develop leadership skills training programs for Africa’s youth in conflict-affected countries. Leadership Africa USA has a proven track record with successful leadership development programs in South Africa, Nigeria, Liberia, Kenya, Senegal and the United States. Our Mission Leadership Africa USA’s mission is to provide Africa’s youth the critical leadership skills they need to face the unprecedented challenge of rebuilding post-conflict societies. Our mandate is to develop youth leadership curricula and provide skills training to Africa’s youth through public private partnerships.
