Edo Association of Washington DC Edo Association of Washington DC he history of the Edo people in America is no different from any other immigrant arrival on these shores, with similar political and cultural shocks. More often than not, the realities encountered fall short of the stories and myths that inspire such long and ardous undertakings to come here. The new reality, however, has forced many ethnic, social and cultural groups to seek ways of bonding together to form basic support systems for themselves, and to pool resources together for the benefit of their communities. We have elected to help with some of the problems facing our communities in Edo State. As the saying goes, “you are guaranteed to fail when you do not try” Our forefathers contributed their lot toward establishing our rich history and traditions. Contributions made by us in this generation are what are children and grandchildren shall remember, live and judge us by in the future to come. We are a community oriented organization lending a helping hand to those in need.
