About Linking Global Voices

Linking Global Voices Linking Global Voices Linking Global Voices serves the global missions community by focusing on the unique role of networks. Networks serve a unique role by facilitating the interconnecting of ministries and individuals both locally and globally. There are networks that are by nature restricted to specific geographic regions and others that intentionally focus on a specific issue. In some situations a ministry or an event effectively serve as a network. In cases where there is no network addressing a specific issue, a representative ministry might be mentioned. Linking Global Voices attempts to feature networks that encourage global engagement. This site tracks approximately 480 networks globally. This site was developed by Eldon Porter who serves as a Consultant for Global Engagement within the evangelical missions community. Eldon grew up in a missionary family in Nigeria and then served for twenty one years with his wife and family in Bolivia, South America. After four years as part of SIM International's leadership team they moved out of the traditional mission agency environment to support mission networks globally. In addition to his formal role as a consultant with Missio Nexus (North America) Eldon assists network leaders around the world as they seek to adapt their networks to the current globalized missions environment. Eldon's background uniquely gifts him to understand the complexity of global missions' movement both for traditional western agencies as well as for the majority world missions' movement.
