Black Diaspora and Germany, DFG Network Black Diaspora and Germany DFG Network Black Diaspora and Germany The DFG Network Black Diaspora and Germany is an interdisciplinary Young Scholars Network that primarily involves younger researchers and scholars working in the fields of Black German, African American, African Diaspora, Critical Whiteness and Transnational Studies in comparative perspectives with a focus on Germany. It combines the participants’ joint interests in the establishment and further development of new theoretical frameworks in the area of Black Diaspora Studies. The network was initiated by Christina Oppel, it is chaired by Silke Stroh (both Englisches Seminar, WWU Muenster) and has so far been organized in close cooperation with Holger Droessler (Harvard / LMU Muenchen), Moritz Ege (IfEE, HU Berlin), Silke Hackenesch (JFK Institute, FU Berlin) and Susann Lewerenz (Oldenburg).
