Diaspora General Directorate, DGD Diaspora General Directorate (DGD) DGD is General a Directorate under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Rwanda, established by national Government after realizing its Diaspora potentials and role they can play in Rwanda development process and in view to involve its nations around the world in the national development. The existence of a Diaspora institution has been reaffirmed by the cabinet meeting of February 28th, 2007 and reinforced into a General a Directorate from the 20th June 2008 cabinet decisions. Vision: ‘’United Rwandan Diaspora dedicated to and integrated in, the national development of their motherland.’’ Mission: To mobilize Rwandan Diaspora for unity/ cohesion among themselves targeted for the promotion of security and socio-economic development of their homeland.
