Tamil Association of Western Australia Tamil Association of Western Australia The Tamil Association of WA Inc was founded in 1979 and celebrated its Silver Jubilee (25yrs) in 2004. The Tamil Association of WA, also commonly known as TAWA, actively promotes the Tamil Language and Culture within the Tamil Community in Western Australia and to the larger Western Australian Community. The common unifying factor has been the Tamil language, culture, arts and cuisine and these themes continue till today to be TAWA?s success factors in integrating the Tamil people from all walks of life in WA. The TAWA has its home, a leased premise at the Bateman suburb, known as Mandala Hall. The TAWA makes this Hall available for hire to other organisations or individuals.
