Shandong Association of Western Australia Shandong Association of Western Australia The Shandong Association was established to create a bond between friends and associates of Shandong and to highlight the teaching of Confucius, Mencius and Sun Tzu. Our aim is to promote social, cultural and economic exchanges between Shandong Province and Western Australia. The Association encourages its members and the younger generation to know and appreciate China, Shandong Province and Australia. We are committed to collecting and compiling literature, publications, folklore, pictures and other cultural heritage materials associated with Shandong Province. Membership in the Shandong Association is open to anyone who shows goodwill to the Association and who wants to promote and appreciate Chinese culture. There are frequent opportunities for members to engage in the social, cultural and economic activities between Shandong Province and Western Australia. To qualify for membership, applicants must legally work, live or study in Australia and be eighteen years old or over. The Executive Committee consists of nine members each with a special responsibility in serving its membership and the community.
