Lou Nuer Community Lou Nuer Community The Lou Nuer Community is a (501 c 3) government registered non profit organization found in 1992 by the first (24) Lou immigrants in the United States of America. Lou community is one of the Sudanese local communities with its members entirely consist of people from three GOSS established counties, of Akobo,Nyirol, and Uror in Jonglei State Southern Sudan. Lou Nuer Community like any other non-profit organizations is to promote the social life, peace, unity, education, and cultural development to Lou people both Diaspora and in Southern Sudan. This Community provides supports to Lou nuer and various Sudanese people worldwide by collecting contributions from committed members in the U.S, Canada, Australia and Africa to respond to emergency situations, such as, death, sickness and other unmentioned situations in the Diaspora, refugee camps and in South Sudan. The community responded to more than 37 emergencies since its establishment. Mission Statement: The primary mission of Lou Nuer Community are as followed:1. To unify its members entirely from the US, Canada, Australia and Africa under one unity (Lou Nuer).2. To protect the welfare and the liberty of Lou Nuer society entirely world wide 3. To promote the peace and social developments including the construction of health care, education centers and all other developmental issues in Lou Nuer and South Sudan at large
