The Gambia remains a poor country in Africa with no natural resource and the poor quality of the agricultural land means only limited amount of crop can be widely grown. Due to the current global ecomonic crisis these farmers are vulnerable to changes in the world peanut prices. In most case people depending on farming almost consume the money they would have received from the havesting of these product before even the product is sold. As a result of these factors and many others, most people are left in a venarable financial suituation that let them to make their child education a secondary issue.
