Estonian National Association of South Florida Estonian National Association of South Florida History of Our Organisation In August of 1977 Harald Hinno, one of the founding members, informed the Estonian American National Council of the establishment of Estonian National Association of South Florida. The Organization was born on July 11, 1977 at which date the bylaws were adopted. The new organisation’s ideological purpose at that time was to unite local, nationalistically thinking Estonians to work for the future revival of a democratic Estonia. Tidbit: The organization had trouble finding people who were willing to serve on the organization’s Board of Directors. Therefore on April 1, 2000 the membership voted on whether to dissolve this organization. The vote was 28 for continuing, 14 for dissolving, and 15 abstained.
