On August 24-27, 2018, the United States of America hosted its first ever International Visitors Program (IVP) during the USA Prophetic Conference held at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center. On the last day of the program, the Canadian International Chaplaincy Association (CICA) conferred on Prophet Shepherd Bushiri and his wife, Prophetess Mary Bushiri, an honorary Doctorate Degree of Divinity. The Canadian International Chaplaincy Association (CICA) runs an International University and a Seminary and was the the first and only Full Gospel Church to be granted an NGO in Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). CICA International University & Seminary is accredited by the Evangelical Order of Certified Pastoral Counselors of America (EOCPC), a Federal Chartered organization with the Canadian Government. They are also accredited with the World-Wide Accreditation Commission of Christian Education Institutions.

Prophet Shepherd Bushiri (www.facebook.com/shepherdbushiriministries) is the young man of God and successful business person who needs no introduction. As a reminder, in less than 4 years, his church, the Enlightened Christian Gathering (ECG), grew from a few members to more than 400 thousand members at the Pretoria branch alone in South Africa where its headquarters is located. His success in business is also acclaimed throughout the world. Therefore, people flock from around the world to visit him for prayer and to witness what God has been doing through him. The International Visitors Program is a key component of the Prophet Shepherd Bushiri Ministries in such a way that every week, thousands of people travel to visit the major prophet at his mega church in South Africa. In an attempt to help more people, take the revival to other nations, and to reach those who are unable to travel all the way to South Africa, Prophet Shepherd Bushiri has embarked in a special global tour which includes the International Visitors Program.

In addition to the International Visitors Programs, Major 1 hosted the Iron man conference and his wife, Prophetess Mary Bushiri (www.facebook.com/prophetess.mary.bushiri), hosted the “Women on Fire Conference”. Thousands of people traveled from all around the globe to attend the event while millions watched it online. As usual, countless miracles took place. From supernatural healings, miracle money, promotions, miracle jobs, prophetic guidance, to people receiving salvation, the menu of the testimonies was very diverse and outstanding. This can also explain why ECG America (www.ecgministries.org) is the fastest growing church in America and in less than a year after its launch ECG America has cells  in many states.

On August 26, 2018, the last day of the International Visitors Program, the Canadian International Chaplaincy Association (CICA) (www.cica-international.org) conferred on Prophet Shepherd Bushiri and his wife, Prophetess Mary Bushiri, an honorary Doctorate Degree of Divinity. The Canadian International Chaplaincy Association (CICA) runs an International University and a Seminary which offers degree programs in Bachelor of Theology, Master of Theology, Master of Divinity in Advanced Christian Chaplain Ministry, and Doctorate of Philosophy in Theology. CICA International was the the first and only Full Gospel Church to be granted an NGO in Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), the highest level of accreditation that is awarded internationally to designates. CICA International University & Seminary is accredited by the Evangelical Order of Certified Pastoral Counselors of America (EOCPC), a Federal Chartered organization with the Canadian Government. They are also accredited with the World-Wide Accreditation Commission of Christian Education Institutions.

Prophet Shepherd Bushiri (twitter.com/psbushiri) and his wife, Prophetess Mary Bushiri also received the UN-approved Ambassadorial titles of Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Special Envoy (CDSE) and an Order of Minister Statesman Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Kingdom Ambassadors (CDKA). This means that, in addition to the doctorate degree, Major 1 and his wife were appointed Goodwill Ambassadors and have the right to use “His Excellency”, “Her Excellency”, and/or “Ambassador” before their names. According to His Excellency Dr. Devon Bannister, the Pro-Chancellor of CICA International University and Seminary, this honor is based on their “selfless dedication to the work of the Kingdom of God both inside and outside the church”.

While this Honorary Doctorate Degree was the first one ever received by Prophetess Mary Bushiri, Prophet Shepherd Bushiri was a recipient of another honorary degree.  In 2017, the Therapon University www.theraponuniversity.org, an American university accredited by the American Accrediting Association of Theological Institutions, granted Major 1 an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Ministry. Prophet Shepherd Bushiri has  also received countless honors and distinctions across the globe. He was the first Black to be nominated for the Prestigious “Honorary US Citizenship” given to only 8 people of exceptional merit since 1776 . He is also a recipient of the Business Excellence Award (Person of the Year 2017) and was inducted in “Africa’s CEOS Hall of Fame” by the prestigious African Leadership Magazine. His family, The Bushiri Family, has been ranked one of the 10 Africa’s most affluent families. In 2016, he was featured in a book written by Dr. Roland Holou that honored the “Most Influential Contemporary African Diaspora Leaders” http://AfricanDiasporaLeaders.com/shepherdbushiri.
