1. What is an affiliate program and how that works?
DiasporaEngager is committed to be a development-based platform that goes beyond just friendship and networking. We are an advanced environment or pipeline where people and organizations from anywhere can interact among themselves and with others from their countries of birth or ancestry, and host countries, to harness, exchange, and transfer opportunities to bridge any developmental gaps between people or nations according to their needs and means in a win-win framework.
To achieve that goal and satisfy our customers, we provide services in more than 70 areas of interest. However, once in our site, some visitors may want certain services or products that we don’t have.To ensure that our customers are satisfied, and that we can help them have products and services we cannot directly offer, DiasporaEngager partners with other companies to display some of their products or a link to their website on our site. In other words, through our affiliate program, we basically introduce your site and your products to our customers so that you can offer them products and services that we can’t provide them. To do that, DiasporaEngager places a link of your site or a snippet of codes on its website. Depending on your need, we can place your affiliate link in emails, webpages, or in our newsletter.
Besides, if you have a snippet of codes that we can plug into our site so that you automatically place relevant link ads in our page, we can also put that on the site. We can also display the link on our website as a banner video. Once the affiliate link is created, visitors of our site click on that link and take an action (e.g. buy your product, register to your website, or sign up for your newsletter). We (you and DiasporaEngager) track the sale periodically and when the set time comes, you write us a check based on our earnings.
2. How do you pay us from the affiliate program?
Our payment methods are flexible and negotiable. Our partners who display an affiliate program link on DiasporaEngager, can pay us based on:
- Cost per click (CPC): You pay us when our customers click on your ad/link regardless of whether product is bought or not;
- Cost per impression (CPI): You can pay us based on a flat fee (e.g. 1000 click/visitors);
- Cost per Action: You pay us when any of the visitors click on the affiliate link you put on our site and then take an action (e.g. register, buy, sign up for newsletter);
- Two Tier Referral program: You pay us when someone clicks on your affiliates link and then affiliates with you;
- If other payment options better suit you, please contact us to negotiate.
3. Type of space available for Affiliate Links
We don’t accept competitor’s ads. We don’t accept ad containing pornographic materials. We have more than 7 options:
Newsletters
If you choose this option, your affiliate link can be shown in our periodic weekly newsletter sent to our members. In fact, we send our e-newsletter to our visitors or customers that subscribe to it to keep them updated on the latest opportunities, news, programs, and information related to our mission.
Landing Pages Option
Some pages on our website are opened to the public and anyone can access them. Some of those pages are tailored to inform our visitors about products and to convert them. Their contents are very rich and lot of good materials is loaded on them. We also used those pages as landing pages when we run our advertisement on others’ websites or through other marketing channels. Consequently, those pages are the most visited ones. Some of them are our Resources Pages and the About Us pages.
When you choose the Landing Pages Advertizing Option, we strategically place your affiliate links on our landing pages according to your areas of interest. DiasporaEngager services are tailored to more than 70 interest areas and each of them has its own landing pages. Please visit our Resources pages to learn more about those areas of interest and then select the one you think better fit the audience you are trying to reach.
Homepages Option
After our customers register to our site and create their account, they have access to their own homepage from which they interact with others. They regularly log into their account to take advantage of our services.
With the Homepages Advertizing Option, your ads will be placed on our users homepages and each time they sign into their account, they will see them.
Search Page advertising Option
Our customers have full access to our advanced search pages which allow them to search for people, organizations and needs/offers posted that they would like. Some of the search attributes are: Name, Country of Residence, Country of Origin, Country of Citizenship, Age, Gender, Language Preferences, Duration of Residence in Home Country Before Moving, Tribe or Culture, Education Completed, Job Title, Field of Expertise, Occupation, Number of Year of Experience, Areas of Need and Interest, Organization Description (Vision, Mission, Objectives, Services Provided), Information about Match, Recruiter, Volunteer Openings, Applicant (job search or placement), Philanthropic Activities, Salesperson, and much more.
Anytime anyone conducts a search on our website, your ads will be shown. If you select the Search Page advertizing Option, your affiliate link will be shown on our search pages for a specific time matching your budget.
Inbox Advertising Option
Once our customers log in to their account, they visit their inbox to check their messages. In fact, our customers can send/receive messages to/from anyone or any organizations that interested them. Periodically, DiasporaEngager sends to its customers transactional or relationship communications relating to the Service, such as administrative notices, service announcements or changes, or emails containing commercial offers, promotions or special offers. To take advantage of our services, our customers visit their inbox very often.
With the Inbox Advertizing Option, your affiliate link will show up when people go to their inbox to view, write or send a message.
Groups Pages Advertising
A cool aspect of our platform is the ability of people to interact with each other and with organizations of their choice. Do to that, we allow our members to create groups, invite others to join, and share with others anything that interests them. Our groups therefore serve as the social community part of our platform.
Those who would prefer the Groups Pages Advertizing will see their affiliate link displayed on our group pages.
Profile Page Advertising
To take full advantage of our services, visitors of our site must register. Once they register, we use that information to build their profile pages which contain information such as: Name, Country of Residence, Country of Origin, Country of Citizenship, Age, Gender, Language Preferences, Duration of Residence in Home Country Before Moving, Tribe or Culture, Education Completed, Job Title, Field of Expertise, Occupation, Number of Year of Experience, Areas of Need and Interest, Organization Description (Vision, Mission, Objectives, Services Provided), Information about Match, Recruiter, Volunteer Openings, Applicant (job search or placement), Philanthropic Activities, Needs and Offers they posted, and much more. That information is of interest for many people visiting our site and therefore, lot of search is done based on people and organizational profiles.
The Profile Page Advertizing will allow us to place affiliate links by the profile pages of our customers. When anyone view others profiles, these ads are seen.
