Our Mission
As a leading non-governmental Palestinian development organization, the Welfare Association strives to make a distinguished contribution toward furthering the progress of the Palestinians, preserving their heritage and identity, supporting their living culture and building civil society. It aims to achieve these goals by methodically identifying the Palestinian people’s needs and priorities and establishing the soundest mechanisms to maximize the benefits from the available funding resources.

GOVERNANCE
The General Assembly (GA) is the Association's supreme authority, which includes over 160 prominent Arab and Palestinian members. The Assembly meets annually to review work progress as well as approve audited financial statements and strategic issues.
The Board of Trustees (BoT) is comprised of 40 members elected by the General Assembly every three years, in addition to honorary life members. The Board meets biannually to formulate policies and strategies of the Association and to review its performance.
The Board of Trustees oversees the Association’s activities through an elected Board of Directors (BoD) and active Specialized Committees for Programs and Projects, Resource Development, Communication, Investment, Membership, Award, and through other technical committees. The committees are composed of GA members.
