Founded in 1979 and headquartered in Washington, D.C., the National Peace Corps Association (NPCA) is the nonprofit alumni organization at the center of a vibrant network of 215,000 individuals who share the Peace Corps experience. The NPCA champions lifelong commitment to Peace Corps ideals by connecting, engaging and promoting its members and affiliate groups as they continue to make a difference in communities in the U.S. and around the world. Structure The National Peace Corps Association (NPCA) encompasses a network of over 215,000 individuals and more than 140 affiliate groups. A 501 ( C ) (3) organization, it is governed by a board of directors, and is managed by a professional staff. On July 24, 2014, the NPCA signed a historic Memorandum of Understanding with the Peace Corps to strengthen the organizations’ mutual cooperation in support of Peace Corps’ mission and the Peace Corps community. The bylaws, which govern the internal affairs of our organization, were established in July 1983 and last amended in June 2015.
