Description: The Diaspora African Forum Foundation (DAFF or the Foundation) is a 501(c)3 organization, incorporated in May 2011 in the U.S. to parallel the work of the (AU) Diaspora African Forum (AUDAF) diplomatic mission located in Accra, Ghana. DAFF’s purpose is to support and facilitate the Diaspora in the U.S. in their attempts to reconnect technically, economically and socially with their traditional homeland. Services are provided under two DAFF divisions: Programs and Development and the African Diaspora Policy Center. Programs and Development Under the Programs and Development division the DAFF supports the Diaspora through outreach and information; develops and implements cultural exchange programs; provide college scholarships to the underserved; collaborates with partners on social projects; and coordinates fundraising activities, including preparing grant requests and proposals to support capacity building and operations of the DAFF. African Diaspora Policy Center (ADPC) The ADPC collects data and maintains a U.S. African Diaspora database. This database includes information on migration and demographics and provides a guide to Diaspora professional expertise. Information is disseminated to the Diaspora and other organizations for various purposes, including research and policy development, investment opportunities, entrepreneurship and workforce development in the U.S. and abroad.
